Today’s post contains two explosive news stories. One from Archbishop Vigano and another from Cardinal Raymond Burke. Both news articles are doubling down on the veracity of Pope Francis by offering clarification. And a former aide to McCarrick, Monsignor Anthony J. Figueiredo has posted his documentation that supports much of what Vigano alleges. Source
Therefore, I’ll start with Vigano.
Whatever side you’re on Team Francis or Team Vigano, one thing is certain…Archbishop Vigano is not going away anytime soon.
This time, he’s granted his first ever interview, via email to the Washington Post. Read the interview here.
If you’ve been following me on Twitter or Youtube, you know I’m on Team Vigano. My intention today is not to ask you to choose sides. My intent is to supply the information so you can make a more informed decision.
But what’s needed more than anything is prayer. Prayer for ALL Shepherds and for our Holy Mother Church.
More than anything, I want Pope Francis to unite the Church and stand firm in the teachings of the Church. I pray that the confusing messages stop and we once again stand in unity.
satan has infiltrated the Church and this should be a concern for all faithful Catholics. The only way to defeat satan is through dedicating ourselves to daily prayer of the Rosary. Our Loving Heavenly Mother can and will defeat satan through her son Jesus Christ.
Read the interview in this link. Pray for both Archbishop Vigano and Pope Francis.
Next, the following Bishops:
- Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke
- Cardinal Janis Pujats
- Tomash Peta
- Jan Pawel Lenga
- Athanasius Schneider
released a Declaration of the truths relating to some of the most common errors in the life of the Church of our time:
Download the PDF file here: Declaration of the Truths
This document was written to clear up doctrinal confusion around Church teachings on a number of controversial statements made by Pope Francis. It was published today by LifesiteNews.
Cardinal Raymond Burke and Bishop Athanasius Schneider, together with several other bishops, have issued a public declaration of truths of the faith to remedy the “almost universal doctrinal confusion and disorientation” endangering the spiritual health and eternal salvation of souls in the Church today.
The Bishops are quoted as saying:
“Our time is characterized by an acute spiritual hunger of the Catholic faithful all over the world for a reaffirmation of those truths that are obfuscated, undermined, and denied by some of the most dangerous errors of our time,”
I’m glad the Bishops issued a joint declaration because I’ve had many discussions with Catholics who are simply confused about the Church teachings.
In a recent social media exchange, one Catholic told me that in the Bible, Jesus never spoke against homosexuality. Therefore, God has mercy on homosexuals because after all, God made them homosexual. With that logic, Jesus never addressed bestiality or pedophilia so does that mean God made people with those tendencies too? See how ridiculous that sounds? Does it come as any surprise that this Catholic also follows James Martin?
Being a faithful Catholic is hard, especially when we have family members and friends who are living a homosexual lifestyle. We are called to love all people, unconditionally as Jesus loves us. BUT Jesus is often quoted in the Bible saying…”Go and sin no more.”
Not…”I Love you unconditionally, so keep living an unnatural lifestyle.”
Jesus spoke the uncomfortable truth.
So is it loving not to tell a friend who is living in sin the truth? It’s easier for us and more comfortable to keep our mouth shut. But is not sharing the truth a loving response?
If you truly love you share the uncomfortable truth in a charitable way just like Jesus did.
Father John Hollowell summed up the teachings on same-sex marriage in a 40-second video, you can watch here.
Telling the truth will not always create popularity. Remember the Catholic who believed that God creates homosexuality …after my respectful debate, which included Bible scripture and the correct Church teachings, I began receiving threatening emails calling me homophobic and other vile words that I will not repeat in this post. All because I spoke the truth…the ONLY TRUTH…a truth some people cannot tolerate.
Why was I threaten?
Because to admit the truth these Catholics and Christians would need to deny the lie they’ve been telling themselves. And to be wrong is often too much for one’s ego. The easier path is to live the lie as “their truth.”
Let’s end with a prayer….
Hail Mary full of Grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and Blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners, NOW and at the hour of our death. Amen
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph PRAY FOR US!
